They remained there for a few moments, in the circle of each other’s arms, Hannah’s cheek resting against his shoulder, the room quiet and still and filled with a gentle peace.
Then, with a little smile, Sergei tugged her towards the door, and upstairs, to the sumptuous suite she’d stayed in once before, where the rest of their lives would now begin.
