Claiming Addison

She nods. “Well then, let’s go.” He pulls her back, wraps his arm around her back and kisses the top of her head.

“I love the shoes,” he says. “I don’t have to lean over so far to kiss you.”

She smacks him playfully. “I’m not that short.”

Talon and I both huff together and she busts out laughing.

We leave the suite to find the bodyguards, Peacock and Mouse. After a few heartbeats, Dex comes out of his room. He looks beat up. No doubt the last couple of days have been tough on him. I put my arm around his shoulders.

“You alright?” I ask.

“Yeah, mate. I’ll be alright.”

Mills goes over our plan for tonight. Since we’re all going together, Mills has agreed to let us stay in the hotel for tonight, but without exception everyone has to be downstairs ready for the cars to take us to the buses at five a.m.

Everyone agrees and we set off for the dinner party with Cami and Tristan. With excellent news in our hands, I refuse to share the bad news I’ve just received today. It’s too good of a day to bring down the high.
